Rooms For Rent for Carnaval in Salvador, Bahia

Carnaval 2010 Coming Up!!

... And the house is filling up...

I am an American living in Brazil with my Brazilian wife. We have two children: a 11 year old, and a three year old. They are both very sweet but they are just kids so we ask you to be patient with them! Although we all like to have fun and the beer and caipirinhas will be flowing, we do ask that any hard-core partyers think twice about staying here.

We are offering two rooms in our home for the week of Carnaval: February 11th through February 18th 2010.

We have room for 8 to 10 people. Additionally, we are not offering breakfast- you must fend for yourself. This means the beds are cheaper- you won't find anything this cheap so centrally located in Salvador.

We have had guests from:

Argentina * Australia * Brazil * Canada * England * France * Greece * Holland * Israel * Italy * Ivory Coast * Japan * Mexico * Scotland * USA

We hope to see you soon!

The Double

The double is no longer available.

1 room with 1 double bed: see photo.

This room is available for R$1200 for all of Carnaval (seven nights). Sleeps two, with room for a third single (inflatable) mattress on the floor. With someone on the floor the price is R$1500.

The Dorm

The sofa bed is the only thing still available in the dorm

This room has two bunkbeds as well as a sofa bed which is good for one or two people. This room sleeps a total of 6 people. It is possible to put another inflatable mattress on the floor. See photos.

The four single beds are available for R$500 for all of Carnaval (seven nights), the sofa bed (which is slightly smaller than a double bed, but will sleep two cozily) is R$800 for all of Carnaval (seven nights), or R$120 a night.

The Kid's Room

We have decided to rent out the kid's room, which will house three more folks. One bunkbed and an additional single bed, R$500 each for all of Carnaval, or R$80 a night.

Location, Location, Location!

We live very close to the parade route in the center of the city (Neighborhood Largo 2 de Julho) - a two minute walk and you are in the center of the action. The parade route goes down Avenida Sete de Setembro and comes back up Rua Carlos Gomes (see Google Maps). Our neighborhood is about a 15 minute walk from Pelourinho, the main tourist destination. We have a large renovated historical house (very clean) with washing machine, internet (DSL and wireless- bring your laptop!). The street is residential and is not on the beach. Contact me at carnaval@kfpro.com for more info.
